Line Laser module BRIGHT RED 10mW, adjustable
MediaLas line lasers are small, well-thought-out, and powerful all-rounders. Our modular system enables a multitude of module variants, in order to always achieve the optimal results required each day in the production area. Alongside the extremely small dimensions, the primary aspect to emphasise is the high level of reliability which it achieves over a very long service life. Especially the 12mm modules are very easy for the user to calibrate and adjust for their respective application. Both the focus, i.e. the line width at the focal point, as well as the line position can be adjusted. This is quick and easy to achieve by turning the front brass ring, which also contains the optics.
The very precise plastic optics can be swapped at any time or replaced with glass elements, even with the unit still installed. You can find various options for this in our shop, as well as spare parts or accessories.
Various brackets are available, which are adjustable in several different axes, for mounting to the machine or the workplace. This makes it possible to set practically any beam position. Adjustment is possible in all directions.
Our Design Department is always at your disposal to discuss customer-specific requirements.
Standard: Flexible wires, red and black, 20cm. Please note the positive potential on the housing!
Plug type PSU: The 230V version includes a cable with DC connector, and fitting plug type power supply.
12 - 25V version: The laser modules are equipped with a 1m flexible connecting cable. A small adaptor electronics is shrinked into the cable. Connecting ends are equipped with wire termination, to connect to any kind of power supply or distributing bus. A reverse voltage protection is mandatory. Please note the positive potential on the housing!

Depending on the particular use case, modules with different beam angles can be selected, which generates the length of the laser line. The larger the beam angle, the longer the line will be. For our OEM modules, the following angles are available:
5° | 1 m | 8 - 9 cm |
10° | 1 m | 17 cm |
20° | 1 m | 0,34 m |
30° | 1 m | 0.54 m |
35° | 1 m | 0.62 m |
45° | 1 m | 0.85 m |
60° | 1 m | 1.16 m |
70° | 1 m | 1.40 m |
90° | 1 m | 2 m |
110° | 1 m | 3 m |
120° | 1 m | 3,4 m |
On our 12mm modules, the line width (also known as "focus") can be adjusted quickly and easily to the desired size or distance. The optics are mounted in the brass ring on the front, and can be adjusted very easily and safely with a fine thread. This makes it possible to adjust the line width to the technically feasible optimum setting for any distance desired. Once the desired line width has been located, the optics are secured in the thread with thread locker. We would be happy to set the focus to a predetermined value for you upon request.
The brightness of the laser line is determined by many factors. As a principle:
You will receive further, detailed information with each delivery of our line laser modules and associated equipment. We are at your disposal and would be happy to advise in this matter.
The modules are equipped as standard with a high-quality, aspherical acrylic glass lens, which enables an excellent beam quality and focus of the laser beam. The module can optionally be fitted with a three-lens glass collimator. This primarily has an effect on the temperature stability of the focus. The standard acrylic lenses may alter the focus in case of larger temperature differences, which can cause a change in the beam width. Where the operating temperature in the module's installation location fluctuates in the range +/-5°C, an acrylic glass lens is preferable, because it offers slightly better focusing at short distances than glass optics, which in turn offer better beam characteristics in the long-distance range (>2 m). If, however, larger temperature fluctuations occur, the glass lens should be chosen, so that the focus does not shift.
For a high deflection angle (110°), we offer glass lens optics, which produce a gauss-like distribution of the light. The laser line is bright at the centre and then gets ever darker as it reaches the edges of the beam, whereas the normal optics produce a rather even distribution across the full beam width. Of course, this line lens can also be combined with the glass collimator.
