Red 20 mW line laser module with high visibility for integration into machines or any other industrial environment. Water and dust sealed.
MediaLas compact line lasers have been developed for use in industrial environments. Alongside small dimensions, the primary aspect to emphasise is the high level of reliability which it achieves over a very long service life. The water and dust-tight housing allows use even in difficult environments in the sawmill or in stone processing, also and especially in open, unheated hall environments, as the temperature range is specified down to -15 ° C.
Our compact red water proof lasers are highly advanced line lasers, operating in a large temperature range with high reliability and visibility. The IP65 declaration makes it perfectly capable of handling dusty and dirty ambients. Focus is set at the factory for infinity. These line lasers are recommended for distances of 2m or more.
Electrical connection
230V Version: The 230V version includes a cable with DC connector, and fitting plug type power supply.
12 - 25V version: The laser modules are equipped with a flexible connecting cable. A small adaptor electronics is shrinked into the cable. Connecting ends are equipped with wire termination, to connect to any kind of power supply or distributing bus. A reverse voltage protection is mandatory.

VISIBILITY AND BRIGHTNESS
The brightness of the laser line is determined by many factors. As a principle:
- Line length: The longer the line, the lower the brightness, as the light output is distributed across a larger surface area
- Laser colour: Green is significantly more effective than red or blue
- Operating surface: The darker and more matte the surface, the dimmer the light appears
- Ambient brightness: The brighter the ambient light, the dimmer the laser line appears. This is determined by the human eye, which reduces its sensitivity to suit the level of ambient brightness. In direct sunlight, it is very difficult to even recognise a laser line, as the retina is already saturated.
- Laser output: The higher the output of the laser, the brighter the laser line appears
